Northern Ireland. A land of ancient rocks, great myths and legends, and a strong, proud, resilient people.
Northern Ireland, on its own, is a fairly young country, having only created in 1921 when it was split from the Republic of Ireland, “The South”. Like its sister country, Northern Ireland is also very beautiful. The coastlines have some dramatic cliffs, but not like the rest of the island. The land is more flat, green, and gentle rolling hills with random mountains spread across this small country.
Getting around Northern Ireland in a car is pretty easy, but it is definitely helpful to have GPS. The roads are very narrow and the speed limits on the back roads are faster than what seems safe with some curves being blocked by the shrubs lining the road.
